Powers of Attorney

Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA's) are often considered as part of planning for the future. However, it is all too often the case that creating the power is left until the individual has been diagnosed with an illness that impairs understanding.

In these circumstances it makes sense to ensure that a formal capacity assessment takes place at the time the power is created, in order to protect the individual from legal challenges.

We are able to make this assessment, and can act as both witness to the signature of the LPA and also Certificate Provider if the individual has the requisite mental capacity.

In cases where mental capacity is lacking, we would be able to complete the COP3 application.
